We would to thank all our authors and readers for being a part of Words on the Outside. It has been a tremendous amount of fun and we may return to it sometime down the road. But, for now, we’re going on walkabout. It’s time for us to experience day long periods of non-scheduled time, and to show our children the virtue of rest and the absolute base-level need that is fun.
To anyone else out there who might be finding themselves in a similar place, I invite you to join us on this journey back to free time and me time and us time. None of us are guaranteed a day and, for us, someday starts now. We’re going to spend more time snuggled up on the couch, fishing on weekends, and playing cards with our kids. It has been the honor of a lifetime to speak with so many wonderful authors. They are a big part of why we’re making this change. The ways in which wordsmiths paint the world suggest a first-person experience we’ve been having solely in the third-person. For us, it’s time to step away from the keyboard…
